Jadra is the result of an affair between a human female, a Baroness, and a roguish Tiefling male fighter. When Jadra was born her mother was horrified by her appearance; small horns and a long, whip-like tail along with brilliantly flame-coloured eyes. Jadra’s Tiefling heritage was kept a secret for many years, her strange skin colour and curling horns covered with oversized clothing and dark hoods. Jadra learned to be ashamed of herself for her differences from humanity, instead throwing herself into silent study of the martial arts, imagining this is what her mysterious father might want.
When she was a teenager she fell in with a gang of similarly-minded youngsters, misfits, rogues, thieves. She quickly became an adept fighter and discovered she had a naturally commanding presence on the battlefield in scrapes with rival gangs.
Now outgrown her rebellious mob tendencies, Jadra’s intentions are more worthy. She fights because she thrives in the heat of battle, but also to aid others less able than herself. On the battlefield she is confident, commanding, a force to rally behind, a source of encouragement and support. Out of battle, though, she reverts back to her child-like state of discomfort amongst humans, unable to shake the feeling of shame she grew up with. Prefering dark, quiet corners to rowdy pubs, Jadra will seek the comfort of the night rather than the loud, shining daylight. She always seeks information on her father, for her mother will tell her nothing of him.
